Cathedral Cottage nestles at the very foot of the Cathedral Peak mountain range in the Northern Drakensberg. Its proximity to the nearby hotel makes this environment familiar to many.

Cathedral Cottage enjoys a unique position in an extraordinarily beautiful World Heritage Site.

Self Catering Accommodation

The accommodation, which sleeps six adults comfortably (plus two basic single beds suitable for additional children), offers four bedrooms and three bathrooms.

There is a large kitchen, scullery and pantry with an open plan dining and pub area leading into a TV lounge or the sun lounge. Three well placed verandahs provide different vantage points from where the dramatic and ever-changing views are spectacular.

The private, established garden is a haven for the abundant local birds and other fauna and the perfect place to relax in a shady corner, or beside the secure pool. For the more energetic, a variety of walks ranging from gentle strolls to strenuous guided hikes, begin on your doorstep. There is a built in braai in the garden with a plentiful supply of wood, as well as a Weber.

The serviced cottage is well furnished and equipped. All top quality linen, including bath and swimming towels, is provided. A typical DStv hotel bundle is provided and included in the hire charge.

There is full cell phone reception at the cottage and WIFI is available at the hotel, a stone's throw away. The spring water feeding Cathedral Cottage is delicious and safe to drink.

Please Note

The house is connected to the hotel's generator meaning you will not be affected by load shedding.

We have two indoor fireplaces with wood supplied.

Activities

Some leisure pursuits provided by the hotel are available to Cathedral Cottage guests. These include horse riding, tennis, putt-putt and a children's playground. Quad bike rides and helicopter flips are conveniently at hand.
